It’s not recommended to take the medicine if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment. It’s not know whether Vermax passes into breast milk. Do not take it without doctor’s approbation if you are breastfeeding. Children younger than 2 years old should not take mebendazole.Possible side effectIf you experience such allergic reactions as hives, swelling of your lips, tongue, closing of your throat, shortness of breath, seek medical attention immediately.Also less serious side effects may occur such as abdominal pain, diarrhea o fever. If you experience them continue take Vermax and tell you doctor about them.Drug interactionThe effects of Vermax may be descreased by medicines for seizures such as ethotoin (Peganone), phenytoin (Dilantin), mephenytoin (Mesantoin), and carbamazepine (Tegretol).Disscuss with your doctor before taking any prescribed or over-the counter medicines, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.Missed doseIf you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.OverdoseSymptoms of a Vermax overdose are vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain. Seek medical attention immediately if overdose is suspected.StorageStore at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
